This Privacy Policy describes how Contiumsoft OÜ ("we", "us") collects, uses, and protects information when you use TruckExpenseTracker (the "Service").
1. Who we are
Contiumsoft OÜ, the operator of TruckExpenseTracker. Contact us at support@truckexpensetracker.com.
2. What we collect
- Account information: name, email, phone (optional), business name (optional), encrypted password.
- Trip and expense data you enter: odometer readings, dates, locations, revenue, expense categories and amounts, vendor names, receipts you upload, notes.
- Truck records: truck names, identification, monthly costs you configure.
- Device location (optional): only when you tap "Use my location" during trip creation, and only at that moment. We do not track your location in the background.
- Technical data: approximate region inferred from IP for FX-rate localization; app version and device type for support diagnostics.
3. How we use it
To provide the Service: store your records, compute per-mile metrics, generate CSV exports, support customer requests, and operate the service securely. We do not sell your personal information. We do not show advertising in the app.
4. Who we share with
Limited to service providers needed to operate the Service:
- Cloud hosting and storage providers (for data storage and backup).
- Email delivery providers (for verification and password-reset emails).
- Currency exchange-rate data providers (for converting foreign-currency entries).
These providers process data on our behalf under data-protection agreements. We do not share your data with advertisers or data brokers.
5. How long we keep it
We retain your data while your account is active. If you delete your account from Settings, we keep your data for a 30-day recovery window so you can restore it by logging back in. After 30 days, your data is permanently removed from our active systems. Backups containing your data are rotated out within 90 days.
6. Your rights
You can:
- Access and edit your data inside the app at any time.
- Export your data as CSV (Settings → Export CSV).
- Delete your account (Settings → Delete account).
- Contact us with any questions or requests at support@truckexpensetracker.com.
If you're a California resident, you have additional rights under the CCPA. If you're in the EU/EEA or UK, you have additional rights under GDPR. Contact us at the address above to exercise these rights.
7. Security
Data is transmitted over TLS. Passwords are stored as bcrypt hashes. Access tokens are stored encrypted on your device using Expo SecureStore. We follow standard industry practices but no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
8. Children
The Service is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.
9. International transfers
Our servers are located in the United States. If you access the Service from outside the US, your data is transferred to and processed in the US. We use standard contractual clauses where required by law.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be notified through the app. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent change.
